Once you’ve modified a photo, Photo Finale allows you to save using a Jpeg Quality Optimizer.  To access this feature, select Save As from the File menu and then click the Options button.  That will bring up the following screen.

 

 

      You can use the , , , or  buttons to adjust the size of the photo in the viewer.

      The Show compressed photo check box allows you to toggle between the original image and the compressed image.  If you uncheck the box, you can see the original.

      Use the slider bar to adjust the quality of the image.  As you’re moving the slider bar higher and lower, the image interactively changes, and the file size is predicted interactively.  Adjusting the quality lower will make the file size smaller.  This feature is useful if you are going to e-mail the photo to friends and family or post it to a web site.
